I am about to make an appointment to have laser eye treatment, after a long discussion with my eye surgeon.

Has anyone had it here and what were the results please ?

I did not have laser to correct vision but to mend a torn retina - it was painless, atraumatic and brilliantly effective.

I have just been referred . Both eyes had cataracts and were done in Feb and May . I'm struggling with cloudy eyes , like a greasy film in both eyes . I was told its vitreous gel trapped . I'm interested in this conversation so thankyou for starting this thread

A few years after I had my cataracts done successfully, my vision became cloudy and I had my lenses lasered. It sounded quite scary to me but was totally painless and very successful.

Had this done in November. I had cloudy vision In the eye that had cataract op 2 years ago. Over in a matter of minutes and I couldn't believe the difference it made straight away. Everything clear and sharp once more. No pain whatsoever. Go for it.

I had cataracts and had the operation to replace my lenses. No pain or bother and I was amazed at the ease shown by the eye surgeon. It is wonderful not to need glasses any more.

Laser eye treatment is used both to correct vision, and also to repair tears or other things. If you have had cataract surgery sometimes a while later the capsule becomes cloudy and needs to be cleared and that is done by laser. It is quick and painless and instantly effective.
