Doodle so sorry to hear your husband is back in hospital. Sending love and prayers. xx

Ellie Anne Fri 29-Dec-23 20:51:38

Blood test normal which is good but it doesn’t explain what happened. But I only spoke to receptionist so could not ask any questions.

Sweetpeasue Fri 29-Dec-23 20:23:50

* HVDY* It's all go at where you are. You should start a removal business. What a strange ironing board -sounds like the struggle we used to have with DG's pushchair. Not much done here though I did sort a wardrobe out and found 3 prs of boots and 2 prs of shoes I'd forgotten I had. DH said I was like Imelda Marcos.
Scaredycat I'd like a young head too- mum used to say I was born an 'old soul' though.🤔 Yes it is nice to be able to feel normal and get out a bit. I don't take it for granted though. Your DGD must have hit work time traffic,4hrs is a terribly long time though!

HowVeryDareYou2 Fri 29-Dec-23 19:47:36

My husband came home after 5 hours of helping Son2. He sorted the ironing board - it had somehow got something caught round the mechanism, but it's ok now, so I did do some ironing. Hope ALL BDers have a restful evening x

HowVeryDareYou2 Fri 29-Dec-23 19:45:49

Doodle So sorry to hear about your husband being in hospital again. I hope that they will sort out his heels and ensure that his pain is managed effectively. Please look after yourself and have a rest whenever you can.

Scaredycat Fri 29-Dec-23 19:11:29

Doodle- I,ve just seen your post after posting mine. I can’t say how sorry I am that DH is in Hospital again. I hope you manage to sleep and as Whiff says please look after yourself. Thank you for taking the time to let us know and hope you find DH comfortable in the morning. Sending a warm hug.

Scaredycat Fri 29-Dec-23 19:05:12

EllieAnne- I,m sure if there was anything amiss you would have had a phone call by now. Seems silly to only be able to get results at set times . Glad the ecg was ok though - I would think like HVDY anxiety might have made feel as you did.
SweetPeaSue- glad you got out to do a bit of shopping maybe not exciting but lovely to feel well enough to do it.
Yes nice to see GD2 and her 7 year old - it took her 4 hours to drive home in nightmare traffic.
Lovely to be thought of as young- far from it I think I,m the oldest one here and well past my sell by date!! If only my body felt as young as my head.
HVDY- glad Chubby chops enjoyed her shopping experience- there’s so much for her to look at in the shops.
Sorry DB couldn’t see his wife - hope tomorrow he will be able to. She must be happy to see him.
His poor Son - he has an ordeal ahead of him. He must be a very brave young man.
You’ve had a busy day - your ironing board sounds like one of those metal puzzles that are in crackers !!!
Doodle- glad you were able to get reassurance about DH from
The DN manage - you must have felt sick with worry. It’s a pity he feels so sick with the morphine but it sounds like it’s helping the pain andenabling him to sleep
Ah Doodle wouldn’t it be nice to be young- I expect you are like me . I feel as if I was 20 in my head but my body doesn’t cooperate any more.
Fingers crossed for DH and that you,ll,soon all be able to get out together for a family meal.
Nadateturbe- glad you,re starting to get some energy back. Rest your eyes when you can.
Wyllow- was so pleased to see you had posted. X
Whiff - you must have had a disturbed night from the time of your post. Hope you went back to sleep.
Love to all mentioned and those not and hope you all have a peaceful night.

Sweetpeasue Fri 29-Dec-23 18:52:46

Doodle I'm dismayed to hear this Doodle. I hope he will get the very best of care and his heel sore given utmost importance. As Whiff says remember to drink enough and do take time for yourself to rest. Thankyou for coming in and letting us know. More hugs on the way to you and know we are all thinking of you and sending love.x

Ellie Anne Fri 29-Dec-23 18:46:08

So sorry to hear that doodle. Please look after yourself.

Whiff Fri 29-Dec-23 18:40:09

Doodle sorry to hear your husband is back in hospital. I hope they can help him and not let him out until he is fully on the mend. Please look after yourself and remember to eat and drink and rest as much as you can.

Doodle Fri 29-Dec-23 18:35:37

Sorry all, short and sweet tonight, DH back in hospital via 999 last night. I’ve been there ever since. Come home for some sleep. Back tomorrow. Love to all.x

HowVeryDareYou2 Fri 29-Dec-23 13:48:44

How's everyone today? It's grey here but dry. DH and Son2 are tidying up the garden at DIL's old house (the landlord can keep the deposit she paid if things aren't in order) and dismantling a trampoline. I've cleaned the bathroom, sorted out some stuff for charity shops, changed my bed, and tidied up in general. I was going to do some ironing but can't open up the (new) ironing board! How stupid. I can't figure it out at all!

Whiff Fri 29-Dec-23 03:22:19

Wyllow relieved to see your post. Sweet dreams.

Wyllow3 Fri 29-Dec-23 00:00:06

Sending all the best night possible xx

Sweetpeasue Thu 28-Dec-23 22:18:58

Doodle You have been busy phoning anyone who could help, you are doing everything possible. I'm so glad the NM was reassuring and you feel better about that. It must be so hard to see you DH so bad though. It's good your DH has slept, the morphine does have such a peaceful affect if pain has been relieved. Hope you both have a peaceful night tonight.

Nadateturbe Good your energy is returning. Don't worry about reading with sore eyes.
HVDY You've been busy with baby again today. You will be bonding and I remember my own DGC at that age. Just want to protect them. It really doesn't last long that baby phase does it?
Hope your DB can see his wife tomorrow. Its good to know that his son is optimistic about his operation.
Wyllow Sending love. Night .

Wishing all a peaceful night.x

nadateturbe Thu 28-Dec-23 22:01:38

Energy returning. Hope everyone is OK. I haven't read all the posts yet. Too much for my poor eyes. Back soon. Love to all.xx

Doodle Thu 28-Dec-23 20:32:33

Sorry so many of you have had problems with GN. I use it on my iPad and that’s been ok.
Ellie Anne I could write your posts for you. I’m exactly the same. What did I say, did I offend anyone. We always imagine the worst and agonise over things. Hopefully all is well and nothing to worry about.
With regard to your tests, if anything was wrong the surgery would have contacte you. When I had my last blood test and chest X-ray, the following morning I had a phone call telling me what was wrong with my results. I was amazed they had them back so quickly. It was less than 24 hours.
nadateturbe thank you for letting us know about poor Wyllow. Sorry she’s not well. Hope you feel better soon Wyllow and thanks for being in touch nadateturbe
Sweetpeasue glad you had a better day yesterday, Glad the pain killers work.
DHs foot has been bad. I’ve phoned the DN, podiatry, surgery and PALS. Didn’t get anywhere till DN manager phoned me back about 5 and had a long chat. She was very reassuring and I feel better now.
DS2 and family came for a visit but unfortunately, DH was really sick due to the morphine so they didn’t stay long. But it was nice to see them even if only for a short while. DH has been asleep since they left, I’m just leaving him to it.
I’m like you. I always think of Scaredycat being young. Must be her youthful personality 😊.
Scaredycat yes always nice to have a family catch up even if it’s only a short one. Hopefully if DH gets better we can all go for a meal together. How nice to have a cuddle with your GGrandson ( have I got that right.) so glad your DGD is feeling better after Covid.
HVDY I was gojng to say your brother sounds depressed but as you say he’s always been like this p, he obviously doesn’t do Christmas.
Glad you’ve had a peaceful day today you need a rest. Have a lovely time with the little one tomorrow.
Wyllow lovely to hear from you. Take care x
Ellie Anne yes there have been lots of complaints on GN today about people having trouble getting on site. I think iPads are ok but the mobile app is the problem I think. I don’t have that.
.

HowVeryDareYou2 Thu 28-Dec-23 20:18:56

SweetpeaSue I'm glad you've been alright today. I like buying new stuff. Had the baby today, 10-6. Parent were tidying the garden and shampooing the carpets at DIL's old house, before she hands the keys in. It's rained practically all day here, so we went to a shopping centre (hate it), then to a cafe. She enjoyed seeing people milling about.

I rang my brother, he stable to see his wife because of the Norovirus (perhaps tomorrow), but he saw his son - his son is on steroids, has gained weight, got a moon face, and will be having an operation next Thursday, to remove part of a lung and some lymph nodes. A few weeks after that, he'll have chemotherapy for his brain. He's apparently optimistic.

Hope ALL BDers have been ok today x

Sweetpeasue Thu 28-Dec-23 19:19:40

EllieAnne How annoying you can only be told results at certain times., especially when you are so worried. I think they would have told you by now if they'd found something wrong but it's good to make sure. Hope your day has been OK.
Whiff Thanks, I usually use phone so that's why I couldn't read them. Hope you're OK.
HVDY Hope you had a good day. Can't remember if you were doing anything particular today. I was OK today and have been out buying some towels and pillowcases( such excitement!) But I'm just so relieved not to have the pain(shhh).
Doodle Did you get anywhere with the nurse about DH's sore heels? It is the hospital's fault though they won't admit it. I know it must be difficult when they are all so busy but they need to put right mistakes. Your poor DH ,it's no wonder he feels angry. I do feel for him and for yourself. You have had so much to cope with this year and your own health too. Sending a big hug.x
Scardycat Hope you had a nice time with visitors today.
* Nadateturbe * Hope you're feeling a bit stronger.

HowVeryDareYou2 Thu 28-Dec-23 18:46:25

EllieAnne If there had been anything wrong, the GP would have contacted you, I'm sure. Perhaps the funny turn you had was to do with anxiety? Try not to worry, it might not happen again. At least you know your heart is ok. How's your day been?

Ellie Anne Thu 28-Dec-23 18:37:15

Finally plucked up courage to phone dr - I don’t like phoning - to discover that you can only get results at certain times and I’d missed it. I’m sure if anything had showed up anything they would have phoned anyway. But if that is the case I still won’t know what caused the problem.

Whiff Thu 28-Dec-23 18:08:58

All GN threads could only be accessed by desktop earlier. But now back able to use mobile site . I started a thread on chat about it. I find it easier to use mobile site as I can see and use it easier as I do everything on my smartphone. I can't use a computer or lap top as my hands tremor to much. And hit the bigger keys.

HowVeryDareYou2 Thu 28-Dec-23 17:57:51

My messages are all showing, but I used my desktop computer almost all of the time

Sweetpeasue Thu 28-Dec-23 15:19:02

Can anyone else see their messages?

Scaredycat Thu 28-Dec-23 10:17:07
