Oh dear, Dollymixtures, that sounds painful and to have covid on top of it is a double whammy.
I agree that it sounds like it’s going to be time that is needed. Bruised ribs, etc, take quite a while to feel better I’m afraid.
Have you been offered any strong painkillers, or if not, could you contact your surgery for some advice? They might be able to suggest something you could take to ease the discomfort you’re going through.

I did similar last autumn fell on the bottom stair and went backwards with my ribs catching on the next stair up I was in so much pain I went to A and E my ribs weren’t broken but it was a good 8 weeks before the violent pain stopped
So I do think it’s a sit tight long wait

I fell last week off a little ladder trying to get the lights off my tree. I landed hard on my right side then banged my head etc. I was congratulating myself on how lucky I’ve been not to break anything but since then I’ve got worse each day. Went to A&E last Friday which was horrendous - 6/7 hrs in a full waiting room with most people coughing! I’ve not broken anything but I might have chipped a rib and I presume deep bruising. I do have visible bruising but not that much. It’s so tender, I can’t touch it, or lie on either side, can’t move much at all.

On top of that, we must have picked up COVID so now feel rotten, coughing a lot which makes my chest ache etc. We decided to cancel our little break to Portugal on Saturday as we couldnt face the travelling, never mind anything else! I must have jarred my bladder and bowel on impact as I’m having trouble with them as well.

I wait every day for a little improvement but just feel worse each day! Has anyone any advice or is it just sit tight? I never knew I could sleep so much!
