Thank you. I will have a look in Tesco and on Amazon. Our Boots is very small and badly stocked. I also had a look today on the AgeUK website and there are some there which look like a good solution short term..

If it’s just urine incontinence supermarkets sell male pads, just like women, men do get urgency as they get older, if it’s double incontinence you do need to see a doctor.

A possible side issue is , how is his mobility? Can he get up from a seat and get to the loo in time? We are all used to recognising the need to go, and mentally can allow ourselves time to g et to the bathroom. If you cannot now move so quickly you have to train yourself to go as soon as you think you need to, rather than just finishing whatever. Hope that the doctor can help him soon

If you are able to get to a supermarket there are male disposable incontinence pants on display next to the female hygiene products. I noticed them recently in Tesco . I’m sure they’ll also have male pants and pads in Boots.

I hope everything goes well with his forthcoming hospital investigations 💐

This was just a sudden not getting there in time. He is just about to have a sigmoidoscopy and gastroscopy and is under the hospital consultant. Prostate and bladder OK. I am just wanting a recommendation for the best incontinence pants to get him through the next week in case it happens again...which it may not. I have never had to look at these or buy them. So something I can buy this week from the chemist or order on line for a quick delivery.

In addition to sourcing suitable pads HelterSkelter1 your husband should be checked over by his GP to establish the cause of his incontinence. It could be prostate related and something that’s easily treated .

An enlarged prostate can cause incomplete emptying of the bladder which can insidiously fill up over time and cause overflow incontinence. Your husband mustn’t accept that’s just the way things are now. A few simple tests will get to the root of the problem and hopefully restore normality.

He should be able to get free supplies from the continence service, via a referral from your GP, if it’s going to be a long term issue.

Otherwise, have a look online (Amazon) for products - at least they can be delivered to your door, rather than humping them home yourself.

DH didn't make it to the loo in time. He is now very distressed. I am thinking one step ahead as I think there may be problems ahead. Any suggestions for incontinence pants. Luckily I had bought some adult bed bath type wipes which were to hand and made everything a bit easier and quicker. Many thanks for recommendations
