I had both at the same time last year with no problem

I've had both but not at the same time.
No problems with the Pneumonia jab at all, but not well for about 5 days after the 1st Shingles jab.

If you don't want it don't have it. I'm older than you and won't get offered shingles for a few more years, I'd rather like it now.

I was a bit worried about having a flu and covid jab at the same time last year but went ahead with it with no ill effects. To be honest these days I take every vaccination I can have! It’s really important to have the shingles and pneumonia jabs, especially as they only need doing once. Always an idea to check up on tetanus jab status, too. I did feel very tired one year after having my flu jab and the pharmacist said she was the same ( as was my partner) so always an idea to have a clear week afterwards to rest up if you do feel tired.

When I went for the flu jab last year the doctor said, "Ah yes, you're due for the pneumonia one too" and gave me it in the other arm. The flu jab ached for a few days, as normal. The pneumonia jab...no problems. I think our surgery just fit the pneumonia jab in around other things when they've got us there in person.

I have had both of these jabs but not at the same time. No after effects with either of them. I can understand your concern though and think you should discuss this with your surgery. I would imagine that this combination has been given the go ahead but it doesn’t hurt to ask before you make your decision.

Just as title says really. I’m due to go tomorrow- got a phone call booking me in for the Shingles jab as I’ve just turned 65, was expecting that.
Then I noticed on the NHS app that permission had been given for the pneumonia jab to be administered tomorrow too.
Different arms I’m assuming but not sure how I feel about having both at the same time- especially as I haven’t been informed by phone or text re the pneumonia- just a note on the ‘my health’ section of the NHS app.
