I'm a hot sleeper and I know that the advice is to use wool but I've tried a Hypnos and got hot within 10 minutes I've tried the vogue vegan mattress - hot the Jay-be cool mattress - hot memory foam is supposed to be hot - it is reflex foam - not as hot tencel maybe a good option as is gel
my theory is to buy a thin mattress as heat disperses quicker
I'm still trying to find one that is good but I think I will buy a thin one with a topper
sandelf if he and I shared a bed the bed would be on fire. It would only take the slightest movement/friction. I just throw my duvet off and on depending on how hot I feel.
I go to bed shivering with a hot water bottle so it must be my mattress and/or topper. I love it as it is easier to cool down.
Why not go back to one made of traditional materials? A quality pocket sprung made from either wool or silk for example? Hypnos used to do cotton, wool, cashmere and silk. I love their mattresses.
DH finds he very easily overheats in bed. It is interfering with his sleep. He has tried 'Emma' and 'Simba' - any suggestions for a mattress that will be reasonably cushioning yet cooling? He weighs about 75kg.
