Microscopic blood in urine

I will keep it brief… history of utis since menopause.
Have been on them for daily antibiotics for the past 6 months or so, to prevent infections. Had to come off them for a week to then be able to test for resistance.
I then get another uti and blood has been found when sample went to the lab. Infection has cleared but blood still there.
Started blood thinners a few months ago after a blood clot and wonder if this is affecting the results.
Has anyone had anything like this please?

Had UTIs continuously 2023 - also early 2024. Don’t know what caused it - I had Trimethoprim on tap. I don’t know if it’s a myth, but pantiliners have been blamed, and in my case I think I use vagisil and diprobase for my ‘dry skin’. So I wonder if the cream has been ‘misplaced’ if you know what I mean..I have been advised to drink lots of water. I know how you feel- it’s a nuisance 😫

You need to speak to your GP as I'm sure you know, if it turns out that the blood thinners are to blame, you can relax and enjoy Christmas. If its bad news then at least you'll be able to start getting things cleared up.
Don't you agree?

I’ve had traces of blood in uri e for about 35 years . It’s been investigated twice, including camera. The conclusion is - it’s normal for you. I was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease about the same time. It occasionally dips if I don’t drink enough water.
I have inflammatory arthritis and other auto immune conditions which means inflammation in my body.

I’m sure your GP will investigate and hope you’re reassured

I have chronic cystitis frequently on antibiotics and always have microscopic blood in urine. Possibly due to inflammation. All urological investigations have been negative.

I have traces of blood in my urine, it shows up with every blood test.
It's been investigated but nothing untoward found.

It’s reassuring to see others have blood in urine with investigations finding no worrying cause

crazyH I have had only one bad UTI, but when using a panty liner always felt a little uncomfortable, prickly in that area. Since deciding not to use them I feel a great deal more comfortable.
