Sorry to post again, but just need to vent.
Hoping someone has experienced similar.
Ok 10 plus years post menopause.
For several years regular uti and antibiotics given and vaginal atrophy noted.
Was on preventative daily antibiotic for a year and this worked quite well until recently when I thought I had another infection. Urine was clear and negative. This was a month ago.
Last week or so developed an infection and urine dip showed a lot of blood and protein. But dr said def an infection.
She’s swabbed for thrush.
While examining me, she noted 2 ulcer like lesions on the back of the vagina. Seeing gynae soon.
She said she isn’t worried , but obviously needs it checked out.
Had a week of antibiotics and although I feel better, the blood and protein is still there. Absolutely freaking out .
I also take a blood thinner, which I’m not sure if that would make a difference.
Thanks for listening .
