😄 Fair enough.
I found when investigated that I had a hiatus hernia.

As my new gp pointed out, it could have been anything, because the only way of knowing for sure is having a look.

Maybe time for someone to have a look to find out the cause for you?

I can get periods of horrendous indigestion, acid reflux, coughing, and all sorts.

The honest truth is that I do it to myself by making bad food choices. If I follow a bland diet, I'm fine.

I do find bread and pastry products make it much worse

Are you prescribed Omeprazole for a specific, diagnosed problem?

I took them for a good few years before a new gp asked if I had ever had the cause investigated (I hadn't)

Yes, indigestion lol

Why are so many people unwilling to go and see their doctor when it is so obvious that the medical problem they have can only be diagnosed and treated by a fully qualified doctor in a surgery settng?

I did wonder about that

I thought you couldn’t take gaviscon with Omeprazole, you might want to check this out.

I think we all go through periods when we feel we should have a seat reserved for us in our GP’s waiting room. Don’t worry about it, your husband is right, contact your GP.

Sounds like drug interactions, you really should go and see your GP and get the situation sorted. Hope you feel better soon.

Maybe your arthritis drugs are causing the problem. You might need to have it investigated.

I've been taking Omeprazole for some years.
I hurt my back/hip 2 months ago and was prescribed Baclofen. I'm also prescribed anti inflammatory drugs for arthritis and scoliosis. As well as an anti epilepsy drug for migraine
I'm on HRT

I sound like a complete hypochondriac but over Christmas I've had non stop indigestion, haven't enjoyed any of my meals, didn't even want wine (not like me). Haven't had any appetite and when I do eat I feel awful

My husband wants me to call the GP but I feel I'm always calling the GP recently. I find Gaviscon liquid helps and ginger tea
