I would take it an hour before your appointment. It will help you to relax.
Concentrate on your breathing, deep breaths in and slowly breath out , that will help you to relax too.
It will all be over before you know it . Good luck

I usually take two, one about an hour before the procedure which for me is the dentist, and another half hour later.
Nothing to be scared of, you will be completely with it but more relaxed.
As for mri, it’s noisy so listen to the music and just breathe slowly in and out.

I am going for an MRI on my shoulder next weekend and I am so scared. I've had MRI's before when I was a lot slimmer but last time I went for one I couldn't go through with it. My doctor has given me Diazepam to take before my appointment but the instruction label just states 'take when needed'. Does anybody know at what point before the scan I should take it?
