Petite spectacle frames (women)

No recommendations, but I always obtain my glasses from the children's selection, they fit better and are cheaper.

Childrens frames are too small for me but many adult ranges are too big. Ask advice from the optician who will usually know the smaller fitting frames. I don't have reading glasses but the Silhouette ranges have frames to fit me.

I have such a problem with my small face. I have recently visited all the opticians in my town and there was only one suitable pair which I liked. It was from the children's section, as usual.

I have the same problem, I recently got a pair from the children’s section in Specsavers KIDS 112 they are a burgundy colour with a bit of sparkle, they are perfect for me.

Nothing to recommend either I'm afraid. I always have to choose from the children's section as everything else is too big, but there is so little choice compared to adults. This time I ended up with Disney Jungle Book frames which luckily aren't as bad as they sound!

Go to any cheap shop, Pound Savers, Euroshop, depending on which country you live in and buy the pair you like best. There is plenty of choice.

Look at the numbers on the inside of the arms of glasses that fit you. Then you can go to an online site and adjust the filters to those measurement's.

truman as you are looking for something quite specialist you might do better going to an optician.

I’ve never seen folding reading glasses in any shops. Coupled with petite must be fairly uncommon I would have thought.

i have a big bottom but a small face so I go for small spectacles from an optician. Maybe pick a child's frame ?

Perhaps this thread should be subtitled The Small Faces. I have narrow face (and a narrow bottom) so most adult specs are too wide. I always go for proper round specs not the optical round ones found in most high street opticians. I have to go to specialist opticians for these. I think they suit me as they make me look slightly comical.

Specialist opticians have a far greater range of frames in a huge range of colours so you have a far greater choice. If you go online you can upload your picture and virtually try on the various styles, you may find you are spoilt for choice. You have to have an up to date prescription to hand of course.

E-bay sells a range of folding reading glasses in various strengths.

Boots have some lovely ones for small faces.

Tiger Specs online to narrow glasses and they are resonable.

I go online for my glasses, scan my prescription and get them much cheaper.
Googles4U are good. And there are other sites you can choose from that could do a petite size.

Specsavers do the Kylie range which is for petite women. They also have other small frames - not a huge selection but when you are petite (in face or body) you get used to that!

I have been back to my opticians several times to get a correct fit for my glasses, very important for varifocals. I couldn’t do that if I bought online. I do realise that the OP is talking about reading glasses, however.

I can agree with the Kylie range from Specsavers. I have a small face and fund it difficult.
I sometimes get a teenagers frame
