So it has Soy phytoestrogens. The one I buy from H&B just says Soy Isoflavones which I assume isn’t the same. I must say I haven’t been getting up in the night quite as much, though.

I’m wrong there. It doesn’t have oestrogen in it ( I really thought it did). So, in fact, it’s just what I’m taking anyway which is soya and pumpkin. Mind you, I buy those from H&B and they’re not cheap.

nandad

Mollygo

Interestingly a man who asked if if the J one was safe for men, was told he shouldn’t take it without a doctor’s advice as it could be harmful.

That is interesting because at H&B they are marketed for men with prostrate problems!!

It is but the one targeted at women has, I think oestrogen in it, too.

Whatever health problem you have someone will have a tablet to cure it.
The only pills that mostly work are those prescribed by a medical professional.

I suspect that these "miracle supplements" come with advice to also do the exercises - a bit like diet pills always come with advice to restrict calorie intake. People are always looking for an easy answer, which is why there is so much stuff successfully peddled around lifestyle.

I assume you mean the ones that start with a J ? The main ingredient is pumpkin seed oil, which you can buy from health food shops. I’ve been using it for around a year now and it’s made no difference.
Have you tried bladder training? Have you been referred to either a pelvic floor physio or for urodynamic testing ? PTNS may work for you. Pelvic floor exercises do not help everyone, and in some cases can make the pelvic floor worse. Go back to your GP and ask for a referral.

Did you do the exercises?

If there was an effective safe pill, your doctor would prescribe it. There isn't, so he doesn't.

I would never buy pills online. You do not know what is in them and, in the unlikely event that they work, just how much damage the drugs may be doing to the rest of body. They could raise the chances of you having heart attacks or strokes.

Exercise is, currently, the only safe option.

Afraid “just exercises” are what you really need. Much as it’s nice to think it’s less effort to swallow a pill. 🙂

I have had urge incontinence most of my adult life after having children.
I manage most of the time but occasionally have an accident. I have been to my GP over the years had test done but was just given exercise to do.
I was wondering has anyone tried these revolutionary supplements that are being advertised all over social media.
They are quite expensive so not sure if i should try them or notđŸ€”
