Since hip replacement 9 months ago I have been in constant pain. Had X ray, MRI, guided cortisone injection by ultrasound. Consultant says nothing more to offer . Main problem seems to be I can’t sit down nor walk any distance without pain. Physio said not to carry on until pain subsides. I am 75 and used to be very fit. Any comments?

I wish I did. I am in a similar situation with terrible lower back pain. It causes me to avoid standing and walking as it is so intense. I had 1 hip replaced in 2018 and the other in 2019. I also have arthritis, fibromyalgia and other conditions. I am trying to increase my walking but it hurts so much, however, I can take part in yoga with no problems!

Any other comments welcome

I'm in a similar situation. I've had fibromyalgia for 44 years and been in constant pain , no help from the medics.

I've had ongoing low back and hip pain for the last 3 years,
Again no help. Physio's are useless, all they know is exercises that just make it worse . Have you looked at private types of massage ? There are different types and one might help .
