For years my type 1 diabetic husband has had inject Insulin. Previously twice daily , now on a different insulin regime so it is 4 injections over 24 hours. Never been a problem doing the actual injection .
He used to get comments from people about how "they couldn't do it " as they are afraid of needles. Or give a shudder and look away etc. Now it seems the world and it's mother wants to inject themselves with weight loss drugs! Constantly injecting your self can cause problems with fatty tissue and leave your abdomen feeling lumpy. I know the weight loss is injections are weekly rather than daily, but I just wonder if in the future this will be another mess for the NHS ( if we still have one) will be clearing up.
Just want to add my DH has always been slim and his weight in the normal range for his height.

I think a lot of the weight loss injections are daily though 62granny and people have been dying from using them and the unfortunate thing is the weight goes back on once they are not used
However your husband has done well my friend is type1 and has only been diagnosed about 5/6 years she does really well and takes it all in her stride doing a very discrete injection under the table(but not literally) when we go out to lunch

62Granny hope this makes you smile and give your husband a laugh . I was in hospital in January and had suspected heart attack as my Troponin level was 170 which indicates heart muscle damage . Luckily I hadn't had heart attack but think I had TIA . But same treatment for both had 2 injections of Heparin into my tummy for 4 days but one hurt a lot afterwards and made moving painful .

When I was due to be discharged a week later had an ultrasound on my tummy to see why I was in so much pain . The Dr had to get his consultant. The verdict was the needle had gone into my subterranean fat layer and caused inflammation. Which would take time to heal. Me being me as soon as he said subterranean fat I suddenly thought of Jules Verne's journey to the centre of the earth.

I do think it's hilarious I have subterranean fat.

I think I will use that " I do not have normal fat I have subterranean fat" 😂 A' la M& S advert voice.
