Yes, the foil can be very sharp and the cuts are sore, just like little paper cuts. Some packaging is worse than the paracetamol packs.

Perhaps they're tough to prevent small children opening the packs if they managed to get hold of them.

I havent cut myself, but because the foil is so tight, the tablets just end up breaking in half 🙄

Usually parrots, or co-codamol

Ooooo, sorry to hear you have all had similar experiences! It is indeed rather painful. As an aside, I also have secondary to breast cancer lymphoedema so could really have done without a skin puncture. Anyhoo, I will try to be brave lol.

Yes, that tablet foil can be lethal. Unfortunately, I have to take quite a few prescription meds and thry are all wrapped up in foil. Some are fine but there are a couple that unless you are extremely careful will give you quite a sharp, deep cut. You suddenly realise you are oozing blood over your tablets. It's a good week when I manage to fill my dosette box without injury, hope your headache clears up soon.x

Well that’s a shame but I can’t see how they can be liable for how you take your tablets out of their bister pack I m sure
we ve all used hundreds of tablets in blister packs over the years without any injury.
Hope you headache and finger recover quickly

Well, we haven’t ’all used hundreds of tablets….without any injury.’ I use a number of prescription meds and regularly end up with nasty little cuts on my fingers from the foil. I don’t think the OP was suggesting that anyone was liable but was simply giving feedback in the hope of some kinder packaging.

I did exactly the same a couple of weeks ago. Really painful

Missing the point there. The foil is extremely sharp so I am presuming that it is a manufacturing fault and just wanted to warn anyone else. Thanks for your comment though.

So feeling sorry myself and admitting I need to take something for ‘this’ headache. I’ve actually cut my finger on the ‘razor sharp’ foil when pressing out the tablet!! Ouch. I’ve emailed to tell them but doubt any action and will discard them safely. So, feeling even more sorry for myself and the tablets havn't blinking helped as yet either. So beware if you have any of these in your medicine cabinet!
