Thank you so much. I’m pleased your OH is fine. Mine is only mild and occasional dizziness and fortunately no vomiting. It sounds mild in comparison!

It is new to me but I was interested, and found this page full of common sense and how to go forward.

My OH had BPPV some years ago and his GP referred him straight away to a qualified therapist who could do the Epley manoeuvre. GP didn’t give him any exercises either.

On the day that OH woke up with it he couldn’t walk in a straight line, was very nauseous and I had to pull over in the car on the way to the GP surgery as he was vomiting .

GP made the call to the therapist as we sat in the surgery and he was seen the following day. The Epley manoeuvre worked fortunately and he’s had no recurrence of the BPPV?

Good morning. I’ve been having some dizzy spells since mid December. I felt generally unwell at the same time so assumed it was a virus. It went away but cams back last week. My GP says it’s BPPV and has given me some exercises to do. Apparently it’s not uncommon and is caused by crystals in the inner ear. If the exercises don’t work I need to find someone to perform the Epley manoeuvre on me. I’m wondering if anyone else has suffered with this condition. I’m finding it a bit upsetting as I’ve always felt scared by dizzy spells.
By the way the full name is Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo. Thank you.
