Visit a pharmacy. In the meantime, have you tried swishing regularly with very salty water? May alleviate the discomfort a bit.

Allsorts the fact that it’s spreading on your face rather than improving with the treatment given by your GP suggests you need seen again.

If it’s difficult to secure a GP appointment your local pharmacist might be a good source of advice and possible treatment. If
it is impetigo it’s usually treated with an antibiotic. Impetigo is a bacterial infection which isn’t serious but it is highly contagious via touch, towels, facecloths etc.

It sounds miserable. I hope it clears soon for you.

I thought impetigo. Hand, foot and mouth.

If it's tingling and crusting could possibly be impetigo. Shingles on the face usually only affects one side.

BlueBelle Tue 12-May-26 07:44:14

No I haven’t but could it be a vitamin deficiency

Shingles?

Doctor prescribed a steriod cream, no difference, then he said it was my toothpaste. Changed it to one with other ingredients. Then i tried tea tree oil, eight hour cream, still its started to spread away from the corners and up my face.
Has anyone ever suffered with this?
