SweetpeaSue Jaffa's a nice cat, and very affectionate (with cats, it's on their terms). My eyes have been very bad today. What might be causing your husband's ankles to be so swollen? Is he on Amlodipine BP pill at all? It's well-known for that. I hope he tries again to get an appointment with the GP.

I've been so idle today, yet still tired. Going to bed soon, although Jaffa's charging up and down the stairs [grin. Love to all x

Oh, I do understand your concerns and frustration with DH not seeking enough help. Yes in an ideal world wait for the morning but heck, needful at the time - have a big hug, thinking of you both xx

HVDY Aw Jaffa is a lovely cat and friend- not sure Id appreciate those early mornings! Oooh the blepharitis sounds awful. I dont know much about it having not suffered but anything to do with eyes must be so horrible- I used to get hay-fever as a child but sort of grew out of it.
DH hasn't been assigned a consultant- just given dept appt.
Doodle Just went out for coffee today and DH wanted windscreen wipers. Called in son's on way home. Its good you can talk to your DH still. Earphones can be useful.Up in early hrs worrying about DH and telling him he must see GP about so many things. Needless to say he didn't appreciate me telling him that in the early hrs.
Scaredycat Hope uouve enjoyed having your family down. How is your DH these days. Sorry cant remember if hes had ECG yet.

Tired and running out of steam for getting DH help. Hes had swollen ankles for ages but one of them so painful has hardly been able to walk last couple of dys, limping badly . Needs a stuck for his hip pain which he didnt follow up after x,ray showed wear and tear changes in back( so he said Drs won't do anything about it. (Think he must have listened to so.e of my early hrs talk though as he rang to see if one of the 2 GPs he sees is on this week,theyre not) .

It's worth, if your nose is troubling you too, nadateturbe or asking the doctor for the topical anti'b I use. I was using salt water and all and frankly it was too harsh. It can do no harm as far as I understand and unlike antics taken by mouth can be used on a continuing basis (Mupirocin or similar, but it can harm some peoples tender nasal passages so ..GP.)

I had a wonderful time indoors at the Museum - one wonderful art combined with archeology show on, and the lovely child and family friendly delving into the past, clothes to try on, lovely cafe. I had to visit a friend in need after, but content with this exceptional Museum and our natters as friend I went with is very knowledgeable as his father was an archeologist.

So a v early night as on a walk with brother tomorrow, when it should be dry. but he knows its 10.30 to 3 only.

I did go for a walk today. It was very autumnal. Overcast and a bit windy. I did a walk Dh and I used to do. I’m a bit melancholy these days but I talked to him as I went along which was nice. These days with mobile phone earpieces you can talk to yourself without looking odd. People assume you’re in the phone 🤣🤣
Sweetpeasue Have you been out again today? Did you manage to get your Dh to contact the GP? I wish he wasn’t so reluctant.

Lazy day today - a friend rang for 1/2 an hour and another one has been exchanging texts with me. The window cleaner was here this morning! It was raining, so I said I thought he might have cancelled today. His reply "Oh, it's ok, I'm not getting very wet" was quite odd (I'm not bothered whether he's wet or not, but what a waste of time cleaning windows in the rain! I paid him anyway. Couldn't be bothered to point out the obvious to him.

Just to say I use blephasol too. I have very sensitive skin and this doesn't irritate it. And salt spray for nose. Didn't know there might be a link1 Wyllow3.

Blepharitis - oh it's horrible. Trouble is it has multiple causes. What helped me in the end - nothing short of a miracle for me - was that, post hospital and v mild MRSA, after weeks, I identified that my nose had an infection, did a bit go googling, and there was an apparent link eyes/nose. Topical anti-b's on my nose actually has cleared up the eyes pretty well, but I use products like this

I was going to go with friend for a walk in the park, but its gloomy and rain ahead, but there maybe a trip to the fab local museum which has both an art gallery and lots of fun and interesting things like local history or live as a caveman or woman for the kids (and some grown ups like me). I'm still tired, and a walk around and coffee just right.

SweetpeaSue The weather has been so changeable here, too. Your knitting is so good and neat. I'm sure the lady will be thrilled with the baby cardigans. What colour will they be? Rather than the GP (who won't be able to do anything), could you ring the Consultant's Secretary and try to get an earlier appointment? Perhaps go on a list to wait for a cancellation?

It’s been really busy these last 2 days but so nice to see our family being together. I,m exhausted but it’s been lovely. They go tomorrow and then I,m going to be with my friend who is having her medication port removed tomorrow and mustn’t be alone for several hours. EllieAnne Oh Im sorry youve had such a mess to clean up. Fancy the umber having to go through your wall like that and all to no avail. You're probably right about it being the new dishwasher so I hope theres no more flooding now it's fixed. You didnt need all that on top of your other issues and I could understand you just wanting to shout ' no more'. I think many of us had times when we feel deserted and our faith leaves us and we feel so alone. I hope you feel spoken to in church on Sunday if you go. X

We drove out to the beach yesterday but it absolutely bucketed down so we turned back halfway there and by the time we got home the sun came out! Had heavy rain again last night.
Had hygienist appt at dentist this morning- hate it - all the scraping ect but not as bad as my imaginings beforehand.
Sis told her friend about my knitting baby cardis and shes asked her if Ill do some for her little twin girls. I should have declined but felt bad as sis gave me lots of wool from her MILs hoard . Theres not enough of the same shade so Ive bought some( her friend said shed pay me) but Ive been so nervous about it all. Its one thing knitting for charity but a huge difference when its for someone . She wants 4 cardis too so a lot of time.
I feel mean grumbling about it. ( I AM mean grumbling about it) . I hope she isnt disappointed whith them.

DH still extremely tired and pain in chest from wrongly positioned stent but appt not till December. 😞. Im trying to persuade him to go to Dr again .

EllieAnne It sounds as though the leak was fixed pretty quickly, before any real damage was done. I think it'll dry up ok.

LG has been busy here today - sandpit, small paddling pool with wellies on, train set, various cartoons. She went half an hour ago. It's so quiet when she's gone. We adore her, but she's soloud (like her dad). DH out with Son1 later, so it'll be a cosy evening with Jaffa for me x

Yes, and in those times we have to just koko as you say, but the river has not gone.

I like order and things running well and it hits hard to have these practical problems to sort especially when under other pressures.

Well the plumber came and no further forward. He took a bit of the wall out to get to the stopcock as he thought thar might be the source it wasn’t. Then lifted more of the wooden flooring to see the extent of the damage but couldn’t see any leaks. So it looks like whatever was leaking has stopped.
I will have to wait and see if it dries out. Then somehow get someone to lift the wooden flooring and replace it.
I was awake since 3 worrying about it, not good at living in a mess.
I have my suspicions that the leak did come from the new dishwasher and that the man fixed it and didn’t admit to it but maybe I’m just making up stories.
The atmosphere at home is bad and the faith which usually helps me has deserted me. But you keep going don’t you. It’s all you can do.

OK, Sudocreme it is. it was just a shock. Lots of the red stuff but it's calmed down.

Now, none of this sheer ugliness....but of course you want to cover up the Rosacea.

Doodle LG's favourite animals are goats, at least for now. She always makes a beeline for them when she goes to farms. You'll be glad to get back into your routine tomorrow, then. I haven't done much - changed beds, done washing, and vacuumed. LG tomorrow.

Wyllow3 I wear make-up out of necessity these days (Rosacea and sheer ugliness). I do have to sort out my moustache every so often! The place you're going to sounds just right for you - chatty staff, with meals and a friendly atmosphere. What great views you had today. We're so lucky to have such beautiful places around. LG's mum loves Highland cattle (she's got pyjamas, cushions, bedding, etc., with them on - like me with cats). Your finger must be sore. Germolene or Sudocrem might help.

No, this is a new place - but the area very familiar and much loved, and the pope I have spoken to on the phone nice and nattery and local. I had to ring today latish and got the night porter who was well up for said natter - so I known am in safe hands.

Well I got all sorts in the weather today just in a 1.75 hour walk, Warm enough to wonder why I wore a light jumper, then pouting down with rain. One moment the fells clad in mist, the next, sunny patches.

I am getting very adept at helping families on this particular walk, who are not walkers nor equipped (bra tops), who just want to see the gorgeous Highland cattle who of course were moved in the extreme heat as no grass growth and probably somewhere cooler and explaining why. 2 lots today who had gone there and back.

Then we took the slow path back to the car which was very long and I overdid it but sort of proud I managed it. The meal was OK - not up to the prices - and I was actually happier afterwards just walking to the top of the short path behind the pub which gives views over 3 counties. Just amazing.

I think it will be a slow morning tomorrow…

I have also just, tired, sliced a bit nearly at the top of my finger. It’s the finger that gives access to my laptop (tho I can use the password instead.)
