Hi. I had a fall in February and broke the ball part of the hip joint. This was replaced and had the spike in the femur but the socket part was considered good enough not to be replaced. Now six months on I still can’t sleep on the operated side, it feels like a rock is there and very uncomfortable. I walk between three and five thousand steps a day mainly without any aid, can bend and do most things. Haven’t attempted kneeling yet. I still get an ache in the groin and sometimes a burning sensation in the back of the thigh. There is lots of information for what to expect from a full hip replacement but not much for this. So I thought I’d ask if anyone else had this a what sort of timeline is it for full recovery. Thanks if you got to the end of this !!
