Swollen ankles

I did read somewhere that it's best to rest your ankles up higher rather than level as they would be on a settee or a footstool.

My ankles always swell in hot weather. I once saw a doctor who didn’t even glance at them but said, ‘It’s gravity’
Lately I have soaked them in cold water, waggled them around and always sit with them up on a footstool. Nothing helped until today when I’ve sat with them up above my hips on a pile of cushions on the sofa. Bingo! Big improvement!
