Joint replacement

Yes friend, both hips & both knees done, she’s 82. (Lots of other health problem now & can no longer walk far )but she could walk the two miles into town after she completely healed.

Provided it is over a year since your last hip replacement, you should be fine.

I have had both knees replaced but neither hip. This comment is from my ex professional life.

My neighbour now 78 has had both knees replaced, and her hip was also replaced recently. The other way round to you but she is back to her active life without a problem.

I have had both Hips and a knee. One hip was done 6 months after my Knee. The Surgeon advised this way. I am fine, no problem and walking perfectly, with no pain.

I know someone with both hips and knees done.

She is like a new woman.

8Visfirl* U totally agree that is the correct sequence. One has to give a lot of thought to movement re the hip and dislocation.

Regarding your balance. Have you done any exercises to improve your balance. I have two replacement hips and still take a stick particularly on rough ground But infact I can manage perfectly well without it it’s just become a habit Having said that I think people are more thoughtful towards you if they see a stick
