Occipital neuralgia

I seem to have developed this and have been advised to take initially high dose, 600mg ibuprofen three times a day and then if this does not ease take Amitriptyline 10mg rising to 70mg. I’ve had stabbing pain at the back of my head for the past nearly a week. Has anyone else experienced this and how have you dealt with it or resolved it. Using AI and other searches this could be as a result of how I use my iPad. Looking down is a thing that can cause pressure and irritation on these nerves. I do use my iPad quite a bit during the day also.
