I don't know. How important is it in the great scheme of things? There are so many problems that I fail to see how a flag and a picture will help. (But couldn't play the video on my iPad, so may have missed something..)

Basically he is proposing that anyone arriving in the UK from a country that still has Queen as head of state (Australia, NZ, Canada and various Carribean islands) ought to have a dedicated line as subjects of the queen and so avoid the longer queues for EEC nationals & those from all other countries. The flag /queen pics are less important. I guess from listening to the piece it is a swipe at the E U 7 maybe the Indian sub-continent. Either that or he is hoping more countries will re-join the club of British Sovereignty!!

Is this really all he could think of when it came to his chance to bring something to the forefront of Parliament's attention? Is there nothing happening in his constituency, the country or the world that is more important that a picture of the Queen and the flag being prominent in UK airports?

If he were my MP I would seriously questioning his priorities.

vamp agree totally..of all the things he could be banging on about he is raising the issue of shorter queues for people from countries with the queen on their coins! It costs money to keep parliament going..it should to be discussing how to improve finances/pensions etc not faffing about with queues!!

What a load of old nonsense. There must be much better – and less expensive – ways of speeding up entry into the UK without undermining security.

If it's a dig at the EU then I'm for it but that's being facetious. Let's get our borders properly manned first before anymore falradiddly ideas

As we have 'home grown' terrorists, what makes him think that the 'old' Commonwealth countries won't spawn a few of their own?
