I am incensed but not surprised. Just one more example of the drive to outsource services in order to make money for somebody. Schools, prisons, care homes for the elderly or disabled, children's homes - none of these services should ever have left public control.

Tanith, I agree with you totally. I dislike outsourcing intensly. Both inmates, pupils, the cared for and staff suffer. Added to which, the service declines and no one will take resposibilty for any difficulties that arise. Meanwhile, someone is making a profit out of us the tax payer! Makes my blood boil!

One of my regrets is that I am no longer able to give blood (not wanted as I had blood transfusions in the years before screening)
Also I dislike and distrust outsourcing.Thank you for bringing to my attention.

Signed. They wouldn't take my blood after I was 60,as there had been a bit of a gap,which seemed a shame as I'm a fairly rare group.

All this outsourcing is really scary.
Why is this government giving so much essential power and control away?
I think that we are becoming more and more vulnerable to the bully boy tactics of powerful groups who put in unrealistic bids for services across all sectors and then pathetically under perform and have to be bailed out yet again.
They will be setting up private blood banks for the rich and wealthy next.
