Make the Telephone Preference Service Effective

I have complained to TPS several times - they say they will contact me after investigation to date I have only had one acknowledgement - no report of what, if anything, was actually done. I am now getting more and more of these calls.

I posted this elsewhere before I knew there was a category for e-petitions. This is a petition aiming to stop the regular nuisance of marketing and scam telephone calls that afflict many of us, even if we are members of the Telephone Preference Service [TPS]. A recent 'Panorama' programme concluded that TPS must be made effective; and many of us think it could be made effective. If scam e-mails can be filtred, why not scam telephone calls?
