How does he square the policies listed in the first two lines of Greatnan's email with his catholic faith? Policies like this run completely counter to all christian teaching about our responsibilities to others.

Wasn't it Barnum who said no-one ever went broke under-estimating the US public? When I read about these two I shudder to think they could be running the most powerful country in the world

Paul Ryan is the Repblicans' choice for Romney's running mate. His policies include slashing spending on food subsidies for the very poor, limiting health care provision for older people, and cutting tax rates for the very rich. He is a devout catholic and implacably opposed to abortion for any reason. He likes to kill animals and can be pictured a la Putin.I am sure there are quite a lot of people in the UK who will applaud him - he makes me shiver.
