Take the bare boobs off page three

Of course I agree with the last two posts but I was thinking about the complexity of attitudes to women's breasts in our society.

There is nothing shameful about breasts but we object to them being on show in a newspaper where we probably would not be offended by a picture of lovely glossy hair or neat ankles, even if they were being used to sell something.

Of course breasts aren't shameful. What is shameful is the objectifying of women in order to sell a newspaper or anything else for that matter.

A bit of a difference between feeding a child and being on page 3 wouldn't you say?

Some time ago we were saying it was okay for women to get their bossoms out in public in order to feed babies.

So are breasts shameful or not?

I thought it was only men who bought the Sun for obvious reasons..
