With government ministers like this one what hope can they have?

I wish the Western leaders would stop reinforcing the view of the extremists that 'the Prophet' is never to be criticised or mocked. It is time somebody had the guts to stand up to them and say we believe in free speech. It is like paying kidnappers a ranson - it just encourages more kidnappings.

It is astonishing, isn't it. Having read a little about this, it would seem that Mr.Bilour is reacting from a purely personal perspective, not a political one (??) - or maybe deliberately muddying the two.
It is interesting that one of the commercial properties burned down in the recent troubles was a cinema owned by him.

And the ordinary decent people have no real choice but to pretend to agree or face severe consequences. Greatnan is right we have to stand up to them. Perhaps if ALL free media worldwide did a bit of mocking the extremists might realise how stupid they look.
