Important new political book out in the States

This is very interesting. I wonder how many of the religious right in the US will even consider reading this?
When we lived in the US in the 70's we amused at some of the views of these "Red necks." We thought they were like dinosaurs-now I am not at all sure that they are. They are frightening.

The link is to a web page in which there is a short video by the author saying what this important new book is about. He regards the theocrats (the American
religious right) as a threat to the democratic foundation of the American Constitution, and how, because of the US's importance in global terms, it is a threat to us all.
