I just find it plain boring! It goes on for so long and there's lots of back slapping and artificial smiling and family hugging. Yuk!

There was a time when I cared a lot. I sat up all night to find out whether Nixon was going to be re-elected for a second term. Now I just find the whole thing wearisome.

I agree, I do take an interest but I as can't vote then all we need to know are who are standing, their basic platform and finally who won!

Our media get all over-excited about the American presidential primaries and then even more over-excited about the election. I am fully aware that whoever becomes the president will affect my life one way or another but I am equally aware that I cannot affect who will become president. I don't want to know about over-rehearsed, carefully staged television debates. I certainly don't give a fig about VP debates. The sooner the whole three-ring circus is over, the better as far as I am concerned.
