It is not GN as a whole, just some posters who seem unable to grasp that personal attacks are not necessary.

There has phoenix and its uncalled for to attack someone personally, GN can be so supportive then for it in the next breath to delve to this is a disgrace.

I have posted on this subject before on other threads, yes, by all means disagree with someone else's point of view, no problem with that, but there does seem to have been an increase lately in things getting "personal" and occasionally borderline insulting.

Could someone tell me when was it decided that a poster was unable to voice their opinions here on GN, it has become clear over the last few months that we cant have a debate without all of this back biting, what happened to agreeing to disagree.........

If I ever met the surgeon who ruined my daughter's life, he would be in grave danger (or in danger of the grave). I have never actually been involved in any kind of violence but I suspect most mothers would be capable of it if their children were hurt or threatened.

Jodi - I don't think I claimed to speak for most members. I merely surmised that many of them would understand what I was saying.

I will admit that I too found that particular phrase to be somewhat offensive, hence my comment on it.

Thank you, Jane, I am sure most members would have seen that I was merely suggesting that gillybob does not seem happy in this 'bunch of grannies' and if she really thinks that she is being bullied if anybody disagrees with her she would probably be happier on a different forum where everybody agrees with everything she says. I found her remark offensive and I am sure I am not the only one. If she chooses to stay with us, perhaps she will get to know us better and realise what sympathy and support many of us give to each other.
(I am staying with Juragran until tomorrow when she will take me to Geneva airport for my trip to Manchester, so today is really the last chance I will have of posting for some time. No doubt there are at least four people who will be very glad!
