Pope resigning

He has said he is resigning due to his health.

Not that I am paranoid or anything but I started going to our local Catholic church and 3/4 weeks later the priest moved to another parish. I am on the verge of being accepted into the church and the Pope resigns - was it something I said!

Let's hope the election process doesn't turn out like the one in Viterbo in 1268.

I wonder why? It can't be to spend more time with his family.

I am not of the catholic faith but I believe he did say on taking on the role he would leave if he felt he was no longer able to carry out his duties. I wonder if it is health or another. It will be interesting to learn won't it.
