I am simply saying, in response to the original post, that no, I am not concerned about Hague' s comments. I welcome them.

If humanitarian safe corridors can be brought about, for the provision of non-lethal aid, then I see that as a good way forward in this complex and disastrous civil war.

If the UK is to respond positively to the situation in Syria and, indeed, in other parts of the Middle East, it needs to do so in an informed, intelligent and useful way, not just based on ill-informed emotional outpourings. If it responds by supplying weapons or, worse still, intervenes militarily, more people, including civilians, will die.

Sorry. post went wrong there. "too many children have died, too many families ripped apart" is what I meant to say.

We have to do something. The wicked genocide cannot be allowed to continue. It has gone on for too long. Too many childreoo many families ripped apart. Assad is an evil man.

The right thing to do is to arm the rebels. Help them to finish this once and for all. And sod what Russia and China think about it.

I'm very worried about Hague's/UK government's stance re Syria.

It seems to me that our previous "interventions" in the middle east haven't been exactly a resounding success. And it's odd that we hear virtually nothing on our mainstream media about the situation in Libya now.

Saw TB on TV spouting his opinions about the need for us to intervene in the middle east as we are all in danger from various terrorist groups. I will possibly listen to him when his sons are put forward to help defend us.

The humanitarian need has become great, but possible provision of weapons for the future cannot be the way of overcoming this. Interesting that the US are now beginning to address a different tack in attempting to resolve this complex conflict. It would seem the Syrian 'rebels' have taken widening control, and I read somewhere that this may allow for 'humanitarian safe corridors' to be put in place for aid.

As for shades of TB - l hope lessons have been learnt from his warmongering.
