There's more amazing pictures on the cloud spotters website. I've nearly finished the Cloud Spotters Guide - a surprisingly good read and, as a sec mod kid who never did science I've learnt a lot.

I see them fairly frequently above the hills here, but never as spectacular as these.

First time I've ever heard of lenticular clouds, let alone seen them. How on earth they do that, I can't imagine. Amazing!

Nature can't be beaten in it's magnificence.
