Rape victim is blamed for ruining footballers' careers.

I suppose the aggression can be explained simply by looking at the age of the perpetrators and the encouraging of the need to dominate, but I often wonder whether it is abuse of steroids or performance enhancing substances that makes this kind of crime so common? And Greatnan, you're right. This is an appalling example of how the victim has been treated by the media and the public.

I can't face it either, at least not literally. But there was a post on my FB today. A young woman in support Syria rape victims holding a placard which said: "So you raped me because my clothes provoked you? I should break your face because your stupidity provokes me."

Can't face it absent - this is indeed a depressing story and illustrates why feminism still matters.
UK footballers are a rather larger sample than uk pop stars I guess jadey. And unlike other young men they are pursued by large flocks of silly young women who are very easily exploited. Whole tribes of them, I gather, who are on a mission to find out where the team are drinking so that they can join the queue at the door. And then both sexes drink excessively because that is what you do these days. Add to that the fact that the young men have been exposed to rather a lot of porn. And I don't mean girlie mags.
So no surprise that some of the footballers step over the line. (I am not blaming the victims. But if you put a few thousand random young men in the footballers shoes and feed them pints of alcohol etc etc ... what am I saying - it's not the footballers it's a wider picture - the footballers are the ones that get in the papers)

I think it is the cult of celebrity. There are now several people who are 'famous' for having been in vacuous TV shows in Britain or America - they have done nothing out of the ordinary, except to reveal their inanity on
TV.

These are American footballers but the reasons are the same as those for English footballers. You give boys unlimited adulation, tell them they are wonderful, pay them ridiculous amounts of money and they begin to believe they are entitled to anything they want. The same goes for pop stars.
