The Member for Yorkshire has the floor.

Excellent!!

Absolutely brilliant piece of oratory by a relatively unknown Member
of the European Parliament (MEP) Godfrey Bloom.

What a pity we don't have any MP's like Godfrey Bloom in Westminster.

He echoes the thoughts of many people entirely!!! Don’t stop
listening when he sits down – the best bit is at the end!!!

I don't usually share my emails but couldn't resist this one! grin

A politician who can speak plain English, and with passion! A rarity.

annodomini Sun 24-Mar-13 12:36:30

Very plain English. I thought nobody ever used the word 'scoundrel' any more!

Ella46 Sun 24-Mar-13 12:50:04

Wonderful!

However, no matter how plain his English, I'd never be persuaded to vote UKIP!

Mishap Sun 24-Mar-13 13:14:47

It has a certain appeal, but lacks any concrete suggestions as to a better way forward. I await those with interest.

Movedalot Sun 24-Mar-13 13:33:57

But it is fun Mishap grin

Ana Sun 24-Mar-13 13:35:15

Yes, it's just refreshing to hear a politician call a spade a spade!

Orca Sun 24-Mar-13 14:16:50

Not a UKIP fan, but how refreshing.
It's been puzzling me for years how our politicians think they can overspend year after year and not have to pick up the tab. But then that's short term thinking, short term politics. In other words party politics.

Put him on stage and I'm sure he'd sweep it too. Would you buy a used car from this chap?

MOVED

It was funny. I couldn't argue with one word of what he said, as you say watch to the end.

I think it might have been Bloom, somebody correct me if I am wrong please, who was a guest on the Daily Politics recently. The UKIP MEP, I think it was him, was taken to task by the Conservative MEP over the EU Budget and David Cameron being the main lead on giving the EU a budget freeze.

She clearly stated and he did not argue, that UKIP MEP's had not even bothered to vote and back Cameron getting the freeze. He said something like. That's very true, no we didn't we were too busy in the cocktail bar. That sadly sums them up.
