Parent's Evening (Tuesday) my grandchild's written story was 'outstanding' and so were his achievements across the board so well done, thank you everybody and chocolate eggs all round. Wednesday morning - by the way the goal posts have moved; your child has to be challenged. The previously 'outstanding' story- writing is now graded average.
However, this is not about the attainments or potential of my family. Just who is playing which political game here? My concerns lie with all the children caught up in this adult mess we call an education system. With one nearing the end of Foundation Stage and one about to enter it my grandchildren and their friends have a long way to go. And then there are those further on.

Did they not give you any explanation as to why they downgraded the work?

I am very happy with my grandsons' schooling so far tbh.
