Flighty older women..

Some of us have our "own space" through no fault of our own! I would love to still be sharing my space with my DH but he has gone where I can't follow him yet.

I don't understand her reasoning - does she expect women to stay in a relationship when they are unhappy. This may have happened years ago when women were financially dependent on their husbands - but not any more, thank goodness.

Also why does that make them "flighty".

According to Penelope Keith in today's Times, she blames 'all these women in their fifties and sixties who suddenly want their own space' for pushing up house prices. And continues 'if only we could educate people to go on living together for longer'.
What a cheek, who does she think she is? Audrey fforbes-Hamilton perhaps? hmm
