Simon Harwood was tried for manslaughter and found not guilty by a jury. Consequently, there was no question of his being sentenced. However, he was sacked.

I don't understand why, when the police are admitting that he was unlawfully killed, the pc involved was never actually sentenced for this. They have apologised to the family and made a "pay-out".

How can that be right? confused
