How do you 'promote' homosexuality? Discussing it is not going to 'turn' any young person, but it might save them from feeling dirty, mad or guilty, prevent them entering a straight marriage, or even prevent suicides.

Scary - another thing this coalition doesn't have a mandate for, yet onward they go. Just one example, homophobic bullying. How can a school that doesn't have positive policies about its gay/lesbian teachers and pupils, lead on the government's stated commitment to get rid of bullying. The CofE high school my children attended had lesbian and gay staff, something the pupils gradually realised. To see so many of the 5th and 6th form supporting them at the Gay Parade in manchester was uplifting. Be dreadful to move back into the dark ages.
