Oh this did amuse me grin

In this instance I'm not including Maj as this thread is about the lesser royals.....all the hangers on who are quite capable of paying for their extremely privileged lifestyles out of their own exceedingly well lined pockets.

merlotgran Mon 09-Sept-13 21:59:17

I've posted on here before in support of the senior members of the Royal Family so I'm not going to go into all that again but I have no time for the lesser Royals.

Nonu Mon 09-Sept-13 21:54:35

Do hope you are not including her MAJ in that ?

Hmmm

vampirequeen Mon 09-Sept-13 21:50:38

Exactly Greatnan. We see these leeches and wonder why we have to pay to support them whether in cash or kind.

Greatnan Mon 09-Sept-13 20:43:10

They are the kind of leeches that make people like the idea of a republic - and Andy is another one.

merlotgran Mon 09-Sept-13 20:27:22

They paid rent Greatnan. The princely sum of £69 per week (or thereabouts) which is about half what my daughter pays for a three up, two down, cottage.

PM then sold their manor house so they could go on the Royal housing list which means they are still in KP. hmm

Greatnan Mon 09-Sept-13 20:01:25

Didn't the Kents (Prince Michael and that stuck up uber-Royal wife) squat in a grace and favour apartment for years?

vampirequeen Mon 09-Sept-13 14:41:25

Maybe he'd had a panic phone call because she couldn't remember if she'd turned the gas off.

merlotgran Mon 09-Sept-13 09:48:04

Can you still get those little 'I Spy' books?

Maybe, 'I Spy The Royal Family' should be standard issue for the protection squad. grin

Lona Mon 09-Sept-13 09:44:41

merlot He'd obviously gone round to pick up the mail and check all the doors and windows were secure for his mum! grin

Anniebach Mon 09-Sept-13 09:38:31

If he got off the golf course ,had fewer holidays, stopped flying around the world and did some public duties people may recognise him .

merlotgran Mon 09-Sept-13 09:37:42

I'm still wondering why he's there at all? He has a massive pile of his own not a million miles away, the Royal household has decamped to Scotland and he's no longer a 'front line' Royal or a working one having lost his 'Ambassador's' cushy number job.

Have we had a Royal squatter before?

vampirequeen Mon 09-Sept-13 08:48:09

I can just imagine him saying, "Don't you know who I am?" and them replying, "Who are you?"

Will have pricked his overinflated ego grin

Gally Sun 08-Sept-13 21:26:10

He should be grateful that he and his, are being protected with such vigour. Perhaps he should have given notice to 'someone' that he intended to take a walk in Mummy's back yard, especially after recent events. They could have an IN and OUT box at the back door!

absent Sun 08-Sept-13 21:19:43

It was a happy little fantasy – royal protection officers shooting Fat Andy – but I wouldn't want to see it in reality, any more than I would like one of the guests to shoot the Duke of Edinburgh at the Boxing Day shoot.

Penstemmon Sun 08-Sept-13 21:11:40

Had't they had a couple of other incidents prior to this one..all a bit jumpy I would say! I did laugh though!grin

annodomini Sun 08-Sept-13 21:10:35

The Express said they did draw their arms and surely it is always right... wink

vampirequeen Sun 08-Sept-13 20:54:12

If they didn't know who he was then they should have drawn their firearms automatically shouldn't they. For all they knew he was an armed terrorist who hadn't done his homework and didn't know that Liz et al spend summer in Scotland.

gracesmum Sun 08-Sept-13 20:13:56

Naughty Absent - you'll be sent to the Tower if you set foot in the UK againgringrin

Ana Sun 08-Sept-13 20:10:44

Why is it a shame, I mean.

Ana Sun 08-Sept-13 20:10:15

Why? confused

absent Sun 08-Sept-13 20:09:10

According to the Met, no firearms were drawn. Shame!

merlotgran Sun 08-Sept-13 15:52:43

You'd think her Maj could afford to get somebody in to house sit while they're on hols.

henetha Sun 08-Sept-13 09:54:32

I am curious as to what he was doing in the garden. Walking the corgi's? smile

Lona Sun 08-Sept-13 09:13:22

Sounds like a good story for the media!
