Fire Service reduction

I watched a news item on this a couple of weeks ago. An obviously angry fire chief talking the party line, but so easy to read between the lines that he was very worried by these plans.

I wonder if the fact it hasn't had much publicity is why people are not expressing more concern. The way in which the government, supported by some of the media, seems to be successfully getting it's private good, public bad agenda to the forefront may be another issue.

Surprised more people are not concerned about this issue. I suppose we all think it won't be us in need of help!

Another example of ideologically driven cuts.

We can only hope so, but the further an appliance has to travel the more chance there is of tragedy. The Coast Guard service has been cut as well.
