Will you change banks now switching is easier?

Not our current account. Had that at same bank for 40yrs and no reason to change.
However,we are looking for the best place to put a substantial sum we have recently received. Highest interest but instant access. We can dream !!!

I`m having a little problem with my bank at the moment. I`ve applied to the pensions department for pension credits, on the advice of a lady from AgeUK, but they require 2 consecutive bank statements for each of us, showing our works pension money paid in. I rang my bank, after several questions, I was asked how long I`d had the account for. It`s a long time, and I can`t remember, so I said between 25 and 30 years, she said she`d put down 25 years, then came back to say that I`d failed security. My son went to our local branch with my bank book, they don`t do statements for a savings account, he then asked them how long I`d had the account and was told that that information wasn`t on the files!

Unless it's an online only account, make an appointment with your local branch and go in person.

Aka, getting around is a bit difficult right now, that`s why the phone calls and my son going up there. He`s done me a photo-copy of the relevant page in my bank book, I`ll ask the pensions people if that will do.
