Those pictures seem stunning in their crassness.

BUT, the people opening the food banks must have invited the politicians along, to publicise the event. They could hardly stand there in sackcloth and ashes. Would have been interesting to hear the speeches each one made.

Balloons??? Why are they celebrating? We'll be having soup kitchens next!
