Granddaughter's doing drama and English. Christopher Ecclestone did the same course.
Have you seen that Theresa May/ Tory Government are now going to repeal the Human Rights Act? They're linking it to illegal immigrants. I link it to the Brazilian who told them they were abusing it through the bedroom tax.

My eldest granddaughter is there. She is a student at Salford and is working at the hotel. She suggested spilling red wine over a few shirt fronts. I suggested that would get her sacked, and she's in her final year and needs the money. I said she should be nice, even if it goes against the grain, and take big tips from them. She's allowed to take their money, but not give them any of hers.

I hate the conference season completely. Each party gives us promises they won't fulfill and those of us who have been around for a while have seen and heard it all before. No promise is worth the paper on which it is printed.

I wish I'd had the energy, jendurham. If I'd seen this then I might have made the effort. I can't make up my mind which cabinet minister I dislike most. IDS is strong competition for Michael Gove.

I didn't realize there was a march.

Any ideas on how to gate-crash without getting arrested/!! A pass is now £500.

Did anyone here go on the march today?
I would have done if I could go that far.
Instead I went to listen to my granddaughter sing in the harvest festival, and hear the vicar talk about the produce going to the foodbank. And got angry.
He asked every 8th member of the congregation to stand up, and said that's how many people will go to bed hungry tonight.
Nobody at the conference will, though. I am pleased there were more people on the demo than there are delegates.
