The kids are fine! hmm

Have you all got a, sort of, speed-dial thing on "signed"?

Agree and signed.

Signed. My son's Danish partner cannot believe how much we make children do in this country at an early age. Plowden used to have the right idea about learning through play.

Signed. We do our children so much damage by forcing them into formal learning at such a young age. I didn't walk through a school door until I was five. If it was our turn we did a bit of 'proper' work in the mornings and played all afternoon but not before we'd all had an after lunch nap. Even now I can rest my head on a table or desk and fall asleep lol.

"Children in England are starting formal schooling too early and are subject to developmentally inappropriate pressures that are damaging to their long-term health and wellbeing. There is no evidence to support such an early start and a great deal to suggest that it may be detrimental not only to their wellbeing but also to later academic achievement."

There is a template letter for MP's on the website in the 'get involved' tab and there is also an e-petition. There is also a 'Day of Action' on 30th October in London.
