Avon and Somerset anti-rape campaign

Avon and Somerset's new campaign features pictures of women in low cut and short dresses, groups of obviously drunken women and has the words "This is not an excuse for rape". At last a campaign which is not attempting to blame the victim. I wonder if it is because the Police and Crime Commissioner is a woman.

I do think that everyone needs to be more aware of their surroundings and how they can sometimes make themselves vulnerable but this should come through education not by blaming the victim because she was drunk or because she wore a short skirt.
