Bi-election or circus?

Paul Goggins was my local MP, but sadly he died a few weeks ago. Now the circus is moving into town! John Bickley UKIP, the BNP and the Monster Raving Looney Party have descended on us. If ever there was an argument for possessing a shotgun............!

Grrr. I've had that in my constituency too. I wasn't happy with the eventual choice; the wealthy types in the upmarket bits of the constituency caucused more efficiently than we did and we've ended up with yet another policy wonk. Slick, clever and very young.

I was so sorry when I heard the news about Paul Goggins, one of the few utterly principled MPs. I do hope you get a good candidate.
