Gosh, the elves are quick. Thank you smile

MamaCaz Tue 04-Feb-14 16:43:54

I'm really sorry about that.
I've reported it now, in the hope that the Gransnet elves will delete it ASAP.
In the meantime, I hope people spot your warning, which I will now repeat.

VIRUS WARNING
DO NOT OPEN THE LINK IN POST 5 (posted at 14.52)

durhamjen Tue 04-Feb-14 16:35:34

It was the one at 14.52.
There is an add on the side bar to convert the PDF to a word document. I clicked on that, and it was hell from then on. I thought it would be a good thing to do as you can usually input information in a word document, but not in a PDF. Teach me not to do that again.

Really? I have the free AVG but that hasn't warned me of anything. shock

Which link, Durhamjen? I will report it right away and see if they can delete that post.

durhamjen Tue 04-Feb-14 16:23:04

DO NOT DOWNLOAD MAMACAZ'S LINK unless you have a good virus programme.

I have just spent an hour trying to get rid of a virus from it. I have paid-for AVG on my laptop. I presume it was that programme, as my virus control told me straight away as I went on it the second time.

It also includes a long list of people/groups to lobby. Those of us who are not affected by the bedroom tax should perhaps kick a few arses up a fuss too.

It's okay, I did it and found the relevant page. I will now see if I can send it on to my sister as it applies to her son.
It seems to me that anyone who can apply ought to because the government is going to close the loophole if they can.
We need to get the opposition to table an emergency debate on it.
There is going to be one on the NHS tomorrow, which needs watching, if only to depress myself even more.

Or maybe not! I've just tried using that link and for some reason there is some gobbledygook in the document that isn't there in the one I copied the link from!!! I wish my computer skills were better.

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

MamaCaz Tue 04-Feb-14 14:45:45

I now have the document in PDF form.
Would you like to PM me your email address so I can send it to you?

I'm not very hot on computer stuff, so that's the only way I can think of doing it, but if you know of another way, please let me know.

I presume you are not registered on facebook and that is why you can't access it that way?

MamaCaz Tue 04-Feb-14 12:59:04

I will try and find out if you can download them anywhere else, Durhamjen. Will post again later if I come up with something.

durhamjen Tue 04-Feb-14 12:46:44

Are there any that are not on facebook?
I've been looking, but cannot find a template, apart from a letter on the Shelter website.

MamaCaz Tue 04-Feb-14 11:38:53

Template letters are now available for challenging various aspects of the Bedroom Tax: for pre 96, room usage & parliamentary ombudsman.

You can access them, along with lots of information, here:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/reclaimjuliet/517027328415234/

If like me, you are not affected by this but still feel that it is grossly unfair, please share the link.
