The UK Statistics Authority has criticised the Treasury again, this time over a chart it produced showing the scale of investment in infrastructure.

Go to the link and have a glance at the two charts shown.

A good example of how easy it is to mislead a casual reader/viewer over figures without even resorting to lies!

Ow my goodness. Playing fast and lose with the scale on the graph. The Richter scale for measuring earthquakes is a logarithmic scale. But counting money on a logarithmic scale is utterly outrageous.
makes the graph look prettier though doesn't it. That's bound the be the reason hmm

I was absolutely amazed at the difference made by the scale. That is what prompted me to post it here.
